I used to be a Mobil1 supersyn customer..... that was before I tried MOTUL.

MOTUL 8100 or 300v

If you can afford it, that is.

A lot of the new Hondas are using 5w-20 including the new 6-speed Accord. It appears the few left with high revving engines still use 5w-30.

I wouldn't run hard on 5w-20, it's too damn thin. It appears to be there to help the civility of the vehicle by idling smoother/quieter and producing better gas mileage #s.

SlammedBlueEM2-

What makes you think its so thin? I dont know exactly what the numbers mean, all I can tell you is that its a lighter oil vs a 10w?

Honestly, I want to run nothing more or less to what Honda recommends. My EP is a daily driver and hardly ever see's higher RPM's. I want it to be as smooth and quiet as possible. Im even thinking about removing my SAI because its too loud. Im sure they have done some research into the 20.

Does Mobil have a 5w20?

I have been using Redline syn 5w30 since my first oil change and the engine has been running good and strong.
