Hard to shift into 2nd at around 50-70km/h?
anyone experience this?
when i am going at around 50-70km/h and come to a turn, i try to down shift to 2nd
i push the clutch all the way down, move the stick to 2nd, and find there is quite a bit of resistance. i can still put it in 2nd, but need a bit more force
and my 2nd has more resistance than other gears (except 1st) in general too
is this normal?
thx!

I have the same problem.....I have started double clutching when down shifting too and it seems to be better. However, I'd like to know why too.
thx guys, makes me feel better
btw, if i don't double clutch or make higher rpm before downshift into 2nd, will i damage the syncros?

if you just yam it into 2nd, it's not good for tranny or engine. I can get it to the point where without double-clutching, I can blip the throttle perfectly and get it intolower gear without unsettling the car. Double-clutching is nice, but we are not driving Espadas or MGs and it's not necessary...as Boba alluded to, it's slower as well. On a road course, the only way to really get the most out of your downshift is heel-and-toeing.

Yup same thing here. I find anything 40km/h or lower and it goes into 2nd pretty easily. If it doesn't go in easily, just wait till you drop to a lower speed or double clutch. Don't just force it it.
