D16a6 idle control valve Question

will any d series engine Idle control valve work?
Mine is trashed all to hell and I can get one from a D16Y8- 97 civic ex

will it work?
or only the D16A6 replace it?

no, the one you need has to be for an 88-91 civic/CRX Si or HF.

they are 2 different sizes...the plugs are the same though. i dont think that the iacv/eacv matters if its obd0 or obd2...since i am using the d16y8 intake manifold and not throughing a CEL.
