His motor is based on the 2.7 liter truck motor from Toyota. Its a cast-iron block.

As for talking, if he runs the numbers, he can talk all he wants. But for the last couple years, he's been all talk and no action. His columns in SCC have been particularly irritating and self-serving. But if he goes and sets a record this year (first FWD in the 7's), then more power to him and he talk all the **** he wants.

That said, I agree that his personal (family) money situation makes him less likely to be PC and likable - he doesn't _need_ to toe a line to get sponsors. I'm sure others wouldn't mind being in his situation.

he has been having alot of probs with that car from the beginning , i know Chris and know the people who put his car together.
the car is slowly gettign better, but still not where it needs to be , best run i think i saw outta is was8.7 or so , he said he had an 8.30 out of it without trouble thwe week before in some test runs when he rented out the track ?
the car has got alot of potential , he just needs to work out the bugs and get some real mechanics working with him that know what they are doing .

Rado did run 8.33 recently. Apparently George I. is tuning Rado's car now. Might explain the performance turnaround. Those Bullish cars are kinda quick.
The race to the 7s should be fun. Hoyos is going to debut a new car soon. Bergenholtz's Mazda6 looks to have potential as does Shaun's SRT-4. Where is Kubo at?

looks like papadakis is birng the FWD out to Summerslam, that said ... I think there's gonna be some really low e/ts to be seen at Summerslam from his car ... I think they learned quite a few things that can be incorporated into his FWD, lets see if it works.

Listen... Chris is a good guy that gets a bad rap. Is it his fault he's got big pockets?
Aside from the fact he's cocky and has the "sideburns", he's easily recognized. And thats what this sport needs, someone people outside the sport can identify with.
The more people show up to events the more the racers get paid. We wanna get paid for what we love to do right?
And did we all forget his Integra? He was the first person to use adjustable traction control bars (ahead of his time).
I forget, how many people are running a 3RZ-FE in their cars?
He's doing things no one else is, and you've got to respect that.

he seems to be a cool guy. I met him in GA and at MIR for the nopie events. I'm sure he won't remember me because how many people you think give him props. Hey, if i had a car that ran the times he does with trouble, i would be a little cocky too.

I know rado was quoted as saying something like " i like everyone from the east coast excpet that brown guy". well, he laid the smack down on him at 2 events in a row now and i know thats killing JBR. so to me it looks like he is backing up the **** he talks. I think rado is gangster even though he struggled for a while he isnt far off pace now.

The car has been running really consistent as of late.. I hope he gets in to the 7's first. As long as GM doesnt do it. He is cocky as hell, but so are allot of people. Except i think he can probably back it up. Stop the hate... All it does is give you gray hairs..

I talked to him a couple weeks ago and he is closing in on solving the problems. Most of it is the tranny, he has not made a full boost pass yet because of that. He is only boosting 5 psi out of the hole currently.

here is something to keep in mind when observing motorsports. any series whether it be nascar, f1, cart, indy or even import drag racing. teams lie 99% of the time when they are having engine troubles and blame it on the trans. this is why the vast majority of tranny manufacturers stay anonymous. i've seen it where there was an obvious engine failure and it was blamed by telecasters as a tranny issue. in many motorsports the engine maker fronts big bucks to help the team succed but they would yank it in a hearbeat if word spread they were supplying faulty engines. just something ive observed over the years

fact remains rado doesnt perform. its really sad when someone can put together a badass car yet the driver knows nothing about the damn car itself. he can have all the tranny problems forever, but as i said, he hasnt performed.
ooooo he came up with some adjustable traction bars which were banned almost immediately cause they were unsafe in the form he had them. basically a "get rich" type of idea. other than that, hes never done **** in this sport besides look stupid and run his mouth. alot of ppl talk, rado is one of them. hes lucky to have the money behind him cause i doubt theres one manufacturer that would want to put their companies name on a vehicle that cant make clean passes down the 1320. also if it wasnt for the fact his family can afford to build the cars he wants no one else would give hiim money towards that project cause the car hasnt produced either. i mean since every dime into those cars comes from his family what r they goin to lose, not much.

Just to say a few things about Rado.He is one of the nicest guy in the sport. If you go up to talk to him he will talk to you.Not like some of the other factory teams. He has been having major tranny issues. We do all re-freshing of his motors and he deffinetly has not been having engine failure.Yes he did run an 8.30 last week-end at MIR.

You're obviously jealous and don't know anything about him. Chris knows alot more about that car than you think. That car is one of the most innovative out right now and I believe has the most potential as well. C'mon, he's got a functional 4 link in a FWD car! The motor in that car is a great motor, with a ton more potential that it's at right now. I've seen and worked on one up close and personal . The head on his car is hardly even worked and it makes more power than most any other car in the field. I've seen the dyno sheets, over 650ft.lbs. of torque by 5k! You can't go down the track if you can't shift. The fortin trannys are known to have problems. Carlson, Steph, Chris, and Jarrod Silvers have all had shifting problems. That tranny isn't designed for drag racing and it shows! Chris has a solution in the works and it'll be revolutionary...Mark my words, Chris will be one to watch for next year with his new car....

**** hold on let me tap into his brain and figure out all that ****....and to the whole papadakis thing, its exactly that, hes steph, this is rado.. two different people, two different cars. Is chris rado and his celica affecting YOU in any way sort or form? Did he beat YOU down the track? no, i doubt that...

Dont worry dude maybe one day you can have a car like his and be fast like him too.

chris

p.s. my miss cleo powers arent working at the moment, i will have to get back to you about all your questions
