Default torn between going turbo or going b18c1

heres my issue. i currently have a b16 i my hatch and was going to pick up a b18c1 block for 500 bux and slap on my b16 head of course the gsr block needs new pistons rings and probably honed and bored out to be good to go. i am tryiung to decide if i should upgrade from my b16 to a gsr block or just saving my money for a tubor kit for my b16 i have abot 600 bux now and it will only take me another month to get the mney for the turbo kit. some one help me decide lol

You had B18cR before. You should know the different between b16 and b18. Turbo a B16 will give you more torque than a b18. But once you turbo your B16, money will start pouring in that motor because turbo is like a high maintenain girl. You gotta keep feeding it while a b18 will be happy with whatever it has. Not to mention more money to go turbo at the first place.

yea but the b18c1 block with b16 head will not be anythign near the type r motor i had. plus with turbo u get the phssfffff lol all my freinds have turbo and im the only one left out. so i think i might pass on the gsr bottem end and just save for the turbo. **** ill behappy with 7-8 psi on the b16 with stock internals and hondata tuning. i expect around 230- 250 hp with that setup.

Yeah, I'm saving for a turbo myself too. But the biggest problem is money. I wish I was born rich hehe

If you were rich would you really appreciate what its like to save your hard earned money to get something you really want. Most of the people I jknow that have **** come easy to them have less respect for it. The ones that work hard and save and exist on a diet of Ramen Noodles general appreciate purchases more.

Just my observation anyway.

yea definately. im sure once i save the money for the turbo kit which will be abot another month, i will be a lot more hesitant to crank up the boost too high and risk blowing my motor since i bought my own motors too, than if my mom adn dad bought me all that instead then i would probably blow it up and not care. but definately i want turbo now it is worth the wait. and the money. if i have a properly tuned b16 turbo at 7-9 psi i think daily i wont have much problems besides that of any other daily turbo car such as eclipses and cars liek that.

this was not the most powerful run of the day, but it was best power, in what we eventually decided was the safest settings.
