Default HELP PLEASE! ECU GETS NO POWER!

Installed valve cover gasket, header and oil pan gasket, everything was up and running fine, pulled back into my parking lot and it died!

Check engine light illuminated, VAFC no power, can't check codes because the ECU has no power either!

checked all the fuses and traced as many wires as I could, what's going on?!?!

Did you check to see that you put all your grounds back?

tsk tsk tsk OD..... things were going so well too...

Did you check your main relay? Know where it is under the dash? You should hear it clicking when you turn the key, if not its time to pull it and test it.

ps, I have a brand new one too

My guess would be to check you alternator. Because if you took off your valve cover you prolly disconnected the alternator. Then the car ran fine for a while because it was running off your battery. Now it won't run because your battery doesn't have enough juice. So I say it's that plug on the alt.

EVERYTHING works in the car *EXCEPT* the ecu, EVERYTHING else has power, IT CRANKS but does not start, check engine light stays illuminated!

Check the plugs under the hood near the fuse box. I just had a car do the same thing and it turned out that one of the plugs came undone.

how do you know your ecu isnt getting power?
have you checked the injectors? if the ecu isnt working the injectors wont work either.... which would explain your non start. use a test light. check all conections and grounds. you might as well check the main relay too.
