Default dynoed my car and friends stock R today. interesting result.

i ended up with a peak of 90.7fwkw, he ended up with 87.9fwkw.
his type-r is stock, and from what the shop said got a normal result for an R.

my vti-r (gsr to you folks) has a 4-2-1 header, 2.5" zorst and DIY cai.
i'm about to get some eagle forgies and rods, spec c cams, custom made race header, p&p, springs, powerfc or maybe a chipped ecu + piggyback, fpr and some other miscellaneous equipment. be interesting to see what i get when everything is installed and tuned.

anyone know of a host i can stick the dyno charts onto??

convert that to wHP. I have no idea how much power that is.

121hp and 117.2.

obviously, you can't compare the results between different dynos. for some reason you all (americans ) end up with around 30-40hp more than the same cars over here. might be to do with the ramp rates or something.

stock r's are good for a consistant mid-high 14's with a decent launch here. my car has 145,000km (90k miles) on it, the type-r has about 35,000km (~22k miles).

Stock ITR's push out around 160wHP and Stock GS-R's push out around 145wHP here in the US.

121wHP and 117.2wHP doesn't sound right. Maybe you're converting it wrong?

put it this way, honda australia rates a type-r at 141kw -what are they in the states?
a gsr is rated at 125kw, ~170hp in the states yeah?

put it this way, measured in 1/4 mile times, one friend's stock vti-r got 15.3, another friend's type-r got 14.7.
the power outputs are not less, just the measurments off the dyno. pretty much any dyno you go to in this country will give a reading of within 15kw of this one, depending on ramp rates etc.

i was more or less posting here to show the difference between a stock type-r and a gsr with bolt ons... i believe the power curve from my car to be superior to the type-r in this instance.

Configure a 13% percent lower reading from a Dyno Dynamics dyno than a Dyno Jet.

Its amazing that the mods let him get away with so much until this point. hopefully he'll find another board to troll on soon enough. Ever since hes dyno'd at 160 w/ skunk2cams, (pathetic at that) hes been trolling the line "obd2 gsr's dyno at 145 whp". ive heard it from him well over 30 times. anyways, he has nothing to say, just likes to front. ill leave it at that, and won't respond to his petty online bickering. The mods know what hes up to now, so ill leave it to them.

see? He doesn't what the **** he's talkin about. He reads my post reply's and translates them into his own thoughts and puts words into my mouth. 160wHP? How do you know what I dyno'd at? You're a ****** dumbass. I made 171.2wHP with the Skunk2 cams... but thas not the point.

I'm not gonna argue with your dumbass. It brings my IQ down.
