Do Koni Specific GCs sit directly on C-clip or on the washer that sits on C-clip?
I'd put it on the washer. The c-clip isn't very sturdy by itself and would fold over more easily by itself w/o the washer to help reinforce/buffer it.
Make sure you seat the washer firmly and evenly over the c-clip or it will eventually bend the c-clip.

All 4 shocks have washers that sit on the c-clip. However, on the GC adapter there's like a little groove that fits the c-clip perfectly but i don't know if it was intended for that or not.

From what I understand, the Koni Sport shocks used to use a separate ring between the spring perch and c-clip on all 4 shocks, but they were recently redesigned so that the ring is only used on the front shocks. I bought my shocks in February 2002 and they have the rings on all 4.
If the machined groove in the GC adapter fits the c-clip perfectly, then put it on the c-clip. That's where it's meant to go, and it won't be any more likely to damage the c-clip than it would if the ring were sitting on it and then the GC adapter.
