my EK got totalled once again...
Well some of you may know that I had a 96 civic hatchback that got totalled late last year in september, well i bought a 97 civic hatchback in november to replace that one, but apparently today about 4pm, i was driving down a road and i got t-boned on both my pasenger and my driver side.. and i wasn't at an intersection. a car was trying to cross the street, didnt pay attention and all of a sudden i get my passenger side slammed into which knocks me into opposing traffic, and i swerve in order not to get hit again, but i couldn't turn in time and i get hit on my driver side.. so i guess i don't have the best luck with ek's, wondering what i should get now... ae86 with 20valve swap? old 240sx with s13 front clip and sr20det? Another EK? or i might upgrade to an integra type r... with insurance money i get.
well here are the last pics of my car of what it used to look like
these are the pictures taken after the accident
oh yea.. if anything needs something from my car.. make an offer.. =P I'll see if it's still intact.

Thats really too bad, one accident for me would probably turn me to another chasis for a project, but ultimately probably still a honda/acura. Goodluck
Oh, by the way, third one's the charm, give it another shot.

with the theft rate on hondas as it is i probably would leave
as my last pic. the ae86 sounds nice but they are small cars. (interior room) the interior isn't as nice as your ek either. its a good play car tho.

ewwww. i say build an 86, honestly you dont need the 20valve swap, just make sure you get a gt. toda engine kit really isnt that expensive either, and the suspension companys all make something htat rocks!
takumi!

That is no fun! Go with the AE86 with either the 20 valve, or see if you could do a 4AGZE twin charger setup. Get the motor from an 88 AW11 and i believe HKS made the twin charger setup. Sport compact had a deal with a silver AW11 and a twin charger setup. It was crazy fast!!
Damn Man! That sucks and im sorry to hear this. Seems like you are having some
bad luck with your cars but it doesnt surprise me with all the bad drivers in Orlando
You have to be extremely carefull in FL. as we have one of the highest accident rates in the country. Tourist, elderly, and of course idiots young and old make FL. roadways Hell To deal with every day. At least you made it out okay sounds like a pretty bad wreck. Did it happen buy UCF? That area is notorious for bad accidents with all the work and school traffic.
Well keep your head up and come back with something bigger and better! I say stay with Honda for the price, reliability, and satisfaction you get from building something that is your own creation. When you get out of school then you can spend some real $ on maybe...... CL-typeS,350Z,or even BMW's M series.

actually i am kinda being pushed away from the idea of attempting to build another ek.. this one was going along perfectly with everything i wanted trying to do it right the first time around for everything including the perfect paint in order to get the body into perfect condition, and a real good track setup for my suspension... and i was prolly gonna get a type r swap in by the end of the summer.. but maybe fate is trying to tell me something. I'm really thinking about an 85 or 86 corolla gt-s and yea maybe that toda kit for it.. i would completely strip it out and get the entire car restored and everything so it would be in brand new shape. but after college i'm planning to get an STI.

I agree - no need for 20-valve or turbo; 4AG tuning parts are easier to find in JDM land than Honda B-series stuff

naw.. passenger door is pretty bad condition... unless you want the interior panels or soemthing like that... the windows are still intact also
sorry to hear..
Personally, if I were you, I would consider the 240SX with SR20 swap since you've already experienced the honda scene...Maybe you will have better luck with the 240..
Besides, Im trying to find a decent 240 right now to do a swap also
Good Luck with whatever you decide man...
