my brothers friend is selling DC sports headers and catback/exhaust. now he's got a 2000 GSR. He is saying that it wont fit in my 99 GSR. Is this true? I want to get it. hes selling it for $300, total!

there are different part numbers for 2000 GSRs in the DC sports catalogue. The O2 bung has been relocated from teh cat to the header I believe for 2000s?

The O2 sensor has been moved for the 00-01 GSRs, so the headers ARE different.

DC and Comptech both sell different headers for these years and A'pexi doesn't even have a redesign.

Maybe you could plug the hole?

 

actually, the header was lengthened also i think...which made the cat-back shorter...i believe

 

Would explain why the ITR catback is supposed to be a direct bolt-on for '00-'01.

 

I believe to be exact, the 00+ GSR's had their cats lengthened by 3inches, which is why it will not fit.
