Ridiculous law just passed!

this is crap. I know 99% of you guys are against street racing but I doubt that any of you have been to Reno and witnessed what we have for a scene. I have been to illegals in sacramento, san diego, and los angeles and they are nothing like the scenario we have in reno, which is a layed back, and safe one. Our races have cost ZERO lives in the last 17 years, and there is maybe one accident a year and that usually involves someone in a truck being stupid. I find it hard to believe that they have finally passed this law that they(the cops) said was in effect nearly two years ago when in all acuality it wasn't. Now they are truly taking away our first amendment right to assembly. I love nothing more than racing at the track as all of you do, but when you have no track within 2 hours what options do we have(one of the tracks they mentioned are not open yet, and the other had import races 2 times a year) It's crap how i'm a criminal for watching, not even racing, but just spectating, somehow that makes me a misdermeanor offender! So, what they are nearly saying is that if you happen to be in a bank when it gets robbed and you watch it happen then ****, you must be a bank robber! Pure crap is what it is! I'm not trying to sound anarchistic or un patriotic but everyday our government takes away our freedoms that they promised to us hundreds of years ago! Between these types of laws and the U.S.Patriot act( see this link for info http://www.pipeline.com/~rgibson/patriot.html ) which takes away more of our promised freedoms, I'm not to sure how long before our right to bare arms and live like "Americans" will be history. I hate the way our system is set up. I am 19 years old and have never touched drugs, have never harmed anyone, and yet I am a criminal who faces some screwed up laws because i have a hobby that remains to go unsupported by our Nevada Congress who would rather just hire some more lazy *** cops to put an end to our lifestyle simply because they don't agree with it nor understand it!

I love to watch street racing as much as the next guy. Thats about my favorite thing to do...hell I like it better than going to the track.
Lets be honest with ourselves here. If you are out watching the races...there is a great chance that you are racing at some point. Even if you aren't...you are still contributing to something that is highly illegal.
The fact is that it is illegal and you know the risks when you get involved. No excuses. Now there is just one more you have to consider.

sorry but this is pretty off-topic for this forum... as much as i dont care if street racing goes on or not... this really isnt the forum for it
