Default A couple video's for the FI guys. My turbo civic vs. an SRT-4

Rundown of the video's

http://libsys.ucr.edu/~simonian/down...s_srt4_end.mov
This is the very end of my race with the SRT 4... The Camera man didn't use the camera right.

All you really see is two white dots and hear our cars going by.

http://libsys.ucr.edu/~simonian/down...t4_fun_run.mov
This was a practice run for the SRT4. I gave chase shortly after.

http://libsys.ucr.edu/~simonian/down..._SRT4_roll.mov
This video is my civic racing the SRT4 from 40-120mph

http://libsys.ucr.edu/~simonian/down..._SRT4_roll.mov

This video is a 99 GT vs SRT4 *3 rounds*
The Mustang ran a 13.9@101 last weekend.
Round 1 & 2 the SRT4 didn't shift down.

All in all, this was my 6th time driving teh hatch. My first real race since it's been parked since September.

The SRT4 is an awesome car with great potential and one hell of a bang for the buck.
Grant it Omar *owner of the SRT4* will get much better driving this car. He needs more practice. I'm sure the results will be different next time...

Thanks to SloStang for Hosting the video's. . .

If someone else want to host these video on a faster Server? Please do and post the alternate links.

Disclamer: Sorry for the Camera work on some of the videos. There was a Rookie behind the lense. Usually I do all the video taping. But this time I was racing.

These videos use Sorenson3 as the codec and Quicktime 6.3 as the player. If you are on a windows machine. You must download and install the newest quicktime from http://www.apple.com/quicktime...lone/

I'm still trying to figure out why this srt-4 is so great. Guy has one around here. Running like 15psi, best he got was a 14.6? Hell my sisters RSX was running 14.7 with just intake and exhaust (me driving)? srt 4 - 2.4L turbo like $20,000 around here, RSX-S - 2.0L no turbo total was $24,000. I guess it's just me, I don't see the neon as the greatest thing in the world. And 4 drs? why? maybe they will make the viper a 4 dr next... Just my $.20, prolly get malled with **** from this one. but oh well I speak my opinion

not mauled. i assume their goal was to make a quick, sporty four-door for $20k or less.
and they did just that.
put $4k into the neon and watch it kick the type-s' *** all OVER the place!
just my $.02 though it's not worth as much as your $.20 haha. man, i need to get some sleep. i'm delirious.

Because I've seen
13.7@101 Stock
13.4@102 w/ $1 Mod

All this for under $20,000

That's why it's so great.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion.

But imo the RSX is waaay over price for the non-existent performance you get with it off the showroom floor.

Yea i know, but my main point is the turbo 2.4L should be kicking the type-s *** already. And true put $4k into the neon it will be faster. But if thats the case...92-95 civic hatch, put 20K into one of those and see what happens. But yes, I guess for a 4 dr neon it is a damn good job. And no I can't spell and I like giving my $.20 and not $.02 $.02 is cheap, and I'm not like that

I guess the one I saw needs a good driver. Just going by my experiences, I don't live in cali

Edit: Yes, the RSX is overpriced. Thats why I have a civic

I dunno? It works on my Windows Machine with Quicktime 6.3?

Quicktime should play Sorenson3 encoded movies?

I haven't seen anyone have any problems so far?

Maybe uninstall all the quicktime on your computer and install a fresh copy?

check my sig for the page.

but, yes were are talking new cars.. i feel the SRT-4 to be a better value than the RSX-S also.

Oh, yeah. Gimme a Black SRT4 with BLACK windows anyway... I don't want people to see me in a Dodge til I smoked their asses.

with the RSX, you are also paying for quality, dependability, and the name of course....something that the SRT-4 doesn't have going for it.

Quality is subjective.
Dependabilty is irrelevant, because it hasn't been out long enough to determine that.

A name? Who gives a crap on the street.

Hmmm, from factory GSR hatch killer. Hang, with Evo, STI and many more. Sounds like a awesome deal if your looking to buy a new car that is fast with warranty. Though it comes with no muffler, how does it pass smog sh*t??

Mufflers are not Smog relative items.
