Default BFG drag radials vs. Azenis????

As the topic state...Im in need of some tires I know these are 2 completely different tires and there intentions are different. The car will be driven ~3 days of the week and ran at the track a few times a month. I was either thinking pick up 4 azenis for all 4 corners or get a pair of 205/50/15 BFG's and some shitty tires on the back (im on a budget). Ive seen some people pull good 60ft's on azenis's and was wondering if the drag radials are worth the extra $$ and reduced driveability. As for my goals, im hoping to break 12's in a Gutted Del Sol, JDM b16a, t3/t04e 60 trim @ 1 bar. would azenis's work or do i need the radials?

No AC, PS
Removed bumper supports
CF hood
Removed Carpet, sound deading tar
Gutted dashboard
No Heat, removed core, etc
Removed rear storage area, panels
Gutted trunk
13lb Race seats
Thats about it Yes i know a hatch might be ~100lbs lighter but i really dont' care, its still lighter than most coupes and teg's

BFG's doesn't decrease drivability and they hook excellent. My roommate has the Comp T/A's on his old car, an EF hatch with LS and pulled 2.0 60'. BFG now has the G-Force drags which are even better. You're probaly making a significant amount of power so I would go with the better tire.

i ran a 2.1 on bald azenis

the BF's might hook better but they have less tread then the azenis

and the azenis are cheaper

ive used both on a 350hp civic and the azenis are a good all around traction and longevity baised tire where the bfgs hook damn good but last a month and are twice as much $$$

Azeni sidewalls are too stiff for good 60 foot times

How is this not a good 60' time?

Most people struggle to hit that with drag radials.

I'd say azeni's, if you want to go any farther, traction wise, i'd just gut 4 shitty tires and have 2 spare rims with slicks Drag radials just aren't meant for people on a budget.

im sure the BFGs will hook better but their more than double the price. The BFGs are a very soft compound. Just get 2 set of azenis and you will be happy.

That is a good time, imagine the same setup on Drag Radials....
