Installed Jg IM, car got slower...
I just installed a JG intake manifold. Before that, my car was running 13.4 @108mph (bad cluth also). After that run, I installed a ACT clucth and JG IM. I went to he track today and best run was a 14.8 with a 2.7 60'. It's taking forever to hit full boost (9lbs by 6k). My boost gauge is going up in steps (not straight up). I feel a huge lost in power before 4-5k. Also, my car is idleling at 1200-1400.
The car is a 94 gsr with rev hard kit, rc 440, aem fuel rail and fpr. Also have hondata. The problem started after the IM instal. Thanks

Leak? Sounds like something isn't right. let car idle and spray stuff around the gaskets. car idle should not change. If it does, there is your problem. Again I have no idea if this is your problem but my buddy had a problem like this and he messed up a gasket when putting back together. But he didn't have JG, he was stock intake. By "stuff" I mean carb cleaner or something like that. This probably sounds stupid but is an easy way to check for a leak. Could be other problem but this is easy way to eliminate one suspect.
If it was leaking, wouldn't my boost gauge be reading lower numbers? It's still at 9lbs. I will look for leaks today. Why would it be idleling at 1200-1400? thanks
