Emissions question...???

well yesterday i passed my pretest at a smog station....and i have my appointment at the smog referee next coming tuesday...

i was just thinking about the worst things that can happen, but would it be possible that my car would still not pass the test on tuesday even though i passed yesterday???

LOL im just trying to scare myself...

my question is totally hypothethetical and i was just wondering if thats possible...cause before my emissions were terrible and my car just got fixed like a week ago..
