Default Prelude 97+ vs. Accord 98+ Clutch Assemblies

Anyone know if all the parts are swappable between Prelude and Accord clutch assemblies?

Honda list different parts for Accord and Lude.
[ex. disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing]

Anyone know forsure if I can use a Prelude pressure plate and Accord clutch disc. Prelude pilot bearings are cheaper too, can I swap it in place of an Accord unit.

{My buddies Lude has super light stock clutch pedal I love it-- my OEM Accord unit is worn out at 50k (pressure plate not clutch) and pedal feel is stiffer then his too. }

I just want to replace my clutch with a stock performing unit cheaply and I don't want to purchase any type of Stage1 kit or anything.

In addition, any ODB related parts on the F23A1 flywheel, was thinking of using a 98-99 Accord aluminum flywheel on my 2000 coupe.

Well I believe that the Prelude and Accord clutches are pretty much the same. As long as the diameters are the same for the disc and pressure plate and flywheel you should be good, as far as if the throw out bearing is the same I don't know, but I would think it would be pretty much the same. I know that the Prelude clutch and the Accord clutch are the same because some clutch companies say they will fit both cars and they have the same part numbers, I think. Well hope this helped a little.

they are not the same but they are interchangeable. there is a slight diff in the diameter of the disc between accord and lude, but that does not stop them from working. ACT and CM clutches are teh same part # for preludes and accords....

Oh ok I see I wasn't sure if they were the same but I know I have seen ACT and Clutch Masters have the same part numbers so I thought they would work.

F and H series motors a mostly interchangeable so I would think that it would fit. I slight differences would be because the prelude is a higher performance car and would have to use a better clutch and flywheel for the added power.

yup, the stock equipment for the prelude is better, but the aftermarket stuff is all the same
