Default Denso vs. NGK

Which plug is better a Denso Plug or NGK Plug? When I ask which is better I mean as far as overall performance and durability. I also want to know what you think aboout Copper vs. Platinum.

Thanks,
Joe

I don't think you would notice a performance difference between the two in copper. However, I've heard the Denso Iridium's produce slightly more power.

Personally, I prefer the "Made in Japan" Denso's but NGK's are fine too.

And NGK being made in America actually contributes to our GDP.

denso=pricy, add little to none performance
platinum=cheaper, last looooooooong
copper=stock, cheap, it works=my choice of plugs

The only NGK's i've seen here on the west coast have been Made in USA (it's on the box). Maybe the last 7/8 years?

All Denso's are Made in Japan.

i just bought ngk coppers, made in japan is engraved on the plug.

either way you can't go wrong though. denso and ngk is the reccomended plugs by honda. i use ngk though since that's what everyone uses. i also use copper plugs too cause they are cheap and perform well. i change them once a year for optimal performance.

I did a search on plug wires...what i found was surprising.

Everyone says aftermarket wires are better...better for ignition, sparks, overall power, etc, but what THEY found was the STOCK plugs OUT performed both NGK and Denso i believe it was. I couldn't imagine it either but with the dyno results and graphs, the stock plugs did have a better gain all across the board with the results. So as to which plugs are better, i'd go with what came on the car from factory. I don't remember where the site was, but i remember using Google, then ngk spark plug wires.

I want to say that Denso is OEM for Honda (which is why I've been using them when i can find them @ $1.59 a piece). Maybe what you read was refering to another plug?

hondas come from the factory with NGK, if it's a 90-97 accord they came with ZFR5-F11s.

Good feedback gents! I was just wondering what everyone else thought on the subject. I have always ran ngk's in all my b series motors and h series motrs and was wondering what you thought on the whole denso vs. ngk - copper vs platinum deal.

Thanks
Joe
