Default alternator problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont get it

ok ive been having this problem for a while......i have an autometer voltguage installed in my ride so i can see what volts im running at , and every once and a while it will jump from 14 to like 12.5 12 somthing like that , showing that its not charging. my idle will get a little ruffer as well. and at night when i have the lights on , and the A/C it wont be at 14 volts it would be at 13 .5 or somthing like that.
so i thought my voltage regulator was bad and i replaced the alternator finally. it didnt help!!!!!!!!! my voltage still drops the only thing that helped is when my A/C , lights and hazards are flasing it still stays at 14. what is causing this drop in voltage i dont get it!!!!!

Alternators don't really charge much at idle. Are you actually having a problem not having any power or not being able to start the car up or are you just looking into it to much and thinking you have a problem. If you have an accessory on the voltage will go down because it is being used When the engine is at it's highest rpm's with no electrical load from accessories that's where you should be seeing max. output from the alternator. At idle w/ all accessories on most cars do drop down towards 12V or lower depending upon what the load is... ex. sound systems, whatever.

if it's totally random, like you park your car let it idle, no ac stereo absolutely nothing to affect it not even a radiator fan coming on then yeah you're regulator is probably screwed up but it can't be that bad if you haven't had any problems starting or anything like that.
