Default turbo on a GSR

Plans just fell through on buying an LS. I've spotted a GSR that I could by but I want the most power out of what ever I get. Will a GSR respond as well to turbo as an LS? I've also spotted a vtec prelude. Would that do well to turbo? I posted this on the turbo board as well to get all the info I can. Turbo ,turbo, turbo, TURBO. ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS >>>>>>T-U-R-B-O

What type of HP do you have ( or do you think you have)? And what type of turbo do you have?

H series engines don't respond as well to boost as the B and D series.

GSR's respond very well to FI ie..turbo
w/ DRAG3 kit for example, stock boost runs around 230-250 if tuned correctly
now there is this one mod from LA who has a built GSR engine and he runs way more than that. forgot how much boost he is driving around with also.

I wonder who your referring to?

Well it's true i was running about 14psi and running away from cars... but have since then turned it down.. right now i run between 8.5-9psi and was told roughly 260-280whp (after I get it tuned)... dont know how much 14 was giving me but it was insane... (accidental misreading of boost controller settings and total ignorance of boost controllers)...

I'm gonna dyno soon but i need to conserve all my cash for an apartment now..

check out this month's issue of Sport Compact Car if you want to see the potential of a turbo GS-R. They've got one on the cover with close to 500whp that is daily driven!
