I am currently taking offers a block that has a bent rod, my freind drove through a lake and sucked up water and bent a rod. pistons and sleeves appear to be fine. I am selling the complete shortblock, good for biulding for turbo app. or getting sleeved.

sucked up water. chances are you not only need new rods/bearings but a new crank as well.

 

Actually, when an engine hydrolocks it rarely messes up the crank...

 

what if u just broke a rod

 

cause in one of my old motors a rod just snaped what would that of been caused by and what what could be hurt

 

whats the difference betweent a shortblock and longblock

 

shortblock = block, crank, rods, pistons
long block = shortblock plus head

My friend sold the head and I bought the block. I was going to buy the head too but it was gone like the first day he split it. I want to keep the block for a spare and biuld it, but I am broke so its up for grabs. He got insurance money for a new swap so he parted it all out.

Have you opened it up yet? Just curious cuz the same thing happen to me and my rod was broke and bent into the block so I had to get another block. couldnt even sleeve it it was so bad. the both sides of the rod went into the both side of the sleeves. it sucked but I got lucky and found another stock block pretty fast. just a lil fyi
