A good manifold is definatly a must for a great turbo setup, but having one that spools up too quick can also be bad.
If you are running stock internals on low boost then having a car with a nice quick spool is essential, but if you are planning on building up your internals and running higher boost like in the 10-15 range (on pump gas respectivly) it will cause you problems with your quarter mile times.
A buddy of mine put a Full Race manifold on his turbo GSR and it cause him grief with all the problems he had with traction, the damn turbo (garret t3/4) turbo just spooled do damn fast, and was delivering power before he could catch traction.
He went from a 13 flat to a 13.7 by using the Full Race manifold. They are really great manifold but it's for racing applications on slicks where traction is less of a problem. On street tires a little lag is beneficial on a fwd car, like a Honda.
Unless you plan on funning slicks and launching like around 7k then I would stick with a manifold that will not spool up faster than you can catch traction.
Not trying to pursuade you to get a krappy manifold, just trying to add my .02 cents in so you don't wind up suffering.

Soo i was just wondering if that "buddy" of his goes on honda-tech. Just curious who it was...

****, I need as fast of a spool as I can get, I DEFINETLY feel the lag when I'm autoXing, it drives me nuts.

why is everyone flaming this guy, am i missing something here?? all he said was that the new full race manifold caused the turbo to spool faster than before the addition of the manifold... and by spooling faster than before he is not able to gain traction and the car is breaking loose because it is making power earlier and faster.. this makes sense to me...
that post is a joke and i guarantee was created by a full-race hater!!! if the turbo spools to fast then get a larger back housing, better tires,or gear based boost control. dammit geoff, you need to have your manifolds flow less and create more lag for the guys at clubsi!!!
make a club-si edition where you have a restrictor plate on the manifold... hah.
Yes i get the post, and get where he is coming from, but he is viewing the "problem" which in reality is a solution (or somewhat of a solution) to a problem - turbolag.
power coming on earlier means more power.
If he keeps spinning the tires, he needs to turn his boost down, or fix his traction issues.
it's as simple as that.

Dammit! That's why I hate Full Race Manifolds..
It just sucks to have the turbo's spool up so fast and having the power delivered right there.

hed be scared shitless in a big V8 or something. Its called TORQUE down low. Heh, I registered over there, but everytime I go over there I just laugh. They are all about the Comptechs and stuff.
I guess thats the reason this fast spool "Troubled" him....used to all the Comptech talk...

He didnt have traction because he didn't have the right sized turbine.
People should take in account how the manifold will change spool.
the most efficient collector known to man + regular t3/t4 = grandma's minivan beating you when you're at wot

I definitely noticed a quicker spool with mine, that's for sure.
Sounds like someone needs to learn how to drive
I'm looking forward to trying it out with the full-race side-fed intercooler, as soon as the $$$ becomes available

hell yeah bro i heard you went 11.2 @ 18 psi from Jeff! Congrats man, what are you using for slicks and fuel mgt? Good to hear man i cant wait for you to get the setup dialed.
stan i definately think you should try retrofitting a D series greddy to your B sereis (or maybe H ..) and then build an adaptor for the t76. Then you can use the lag to your advantage!

Ricer excuse 28453.34x2 "you only beat me because my manifold spooled my turbo too fast and i couldn't get traction"
I bet if he buys some titanium muffler bearings he could hook up

nah dude, I still think the B16 head on teh SR shortblock with your suggestion of the D series and T76 is the best bet ever...
