Default I have coilovers, which way is higher and which is lower???

hey i've been tearing apart my suspension all day, pretty fun. anyways, i got under there and saw how bad everything was and ended up spending 250 on new control arms, ball joints and tie rod ends. I was only supposed to be putting on coilovers, lol. anyways, i have everything together except the lower control arm because i still have to get the lower ball joint pressed in tomorrow and get it all bolted up. I was wondering to adjust the coilovers to the lower setting do i go down the adjustable bottom mount thingy or do i go up to lower the car? If i don't hear from anyone tomorrow morning i guess i'll have to jack my car up and down a couple times to find out, (don't feel like doing, i'm lazy). any help is appreciated. thx

I feel ya, adjusting coilovers is a bitch because you gotta take the wheels off, jack up the car, adjust it, put wheels on, see the height, do it all over to change height. Anyways, lower on the perch makes it lower.

down for down up for up ... idiot proof, and there is no need to remove the wheels when adjusting coilover height, just jack and reach around the tire for the front, and for the rear u can do from under and behind the tire...

have fun

Also you can save a few bucks and put in the ball joints yourself. You can tap them in w/ a ball pean hammer.

i think we ended up using the ball peen hammer as a "striker" in order to use the 3lb sledge.

anyways, i'm almost done for the day. i woke up late. anyways i took the ball joints over to a guy that has basically a machine shop in his garage and he did it for 10 bucks, which i think is a whole lot better than fighting the bitch to make it go in. anyways, thx for the help and yea i guess the coilover thing is common sence. thx anyways.
