What convinced you to buy the exhaust you got?
Sound was a big issue for me. I didn't want anything too loud, but if it was gonna be loud, it had to be a nice clean deep tone. Not the whiny ****. Price didn't matter to me, as long as I was satisfied with it.
I have Tanabe RM now, and thinkin' about getting a new system. I not asking for your opinion, just wanted to know why you got what ya did.
I wondered this question on my way home from work today. This silver EK passed my on I-405. He had the loudest and whiniest exhaust I've ever heard. It was so anoyoing. My EH has stripped interior, and with the RM, it still isn't too bad. He passed me and ended up staying about 3 cars ahead. I could still hear his crap over my RM and stereo.

mine is a tie between sound and looks. On the one hand, i like an exhaust such as the World Sport because it's so damn quiet yet I hate it because it's got a freaking tip that's almost as big as a CD. no need for that! i'd be all over it if A'PEXi dropped the tip down to like 2.5". so right now i'm leaning towards an ITR cat-back and having the outlet extended. small tip, mandrel-bent piping, and OEM quiet. there are some kinks in it but it flows a lot better than my stock Y8 exhaust i use right now.
my apexi WS : i had a dunk before my WS,..i chose the WS for the sound and the look,..its ALOT smaller then my dunk,..and its quieter
my ES oval: sleeper style,...sounds great

dont buy an exhaust. keep it stock lookin or just get a flowmaster and paint that bitch black n tuck it up close to the hangers to get that NO MUFFLER look.

Skunk2 Cat back...
I needed something more high flowing then the WS for my cam setup, and I got an awesome deal on it. I had never heard it before it was on the car so I took a chance there. The exhuast souds great, and it quiet with the silencer in.

never heard of it before. any website got info/pricing etc? thanks.
v00tecsi,
does skunk2 still make that exhaust? I haven't seen that forsale anywhere either. I have an Apexi WS and wonder how much it restricts flow. I just need a decent flowing axleback piece i think. I wouldn't assume that the resonator/b-pipe is a restriction.
TIA

the HKS I had in the 90's was a birthday present. It fell off and I got a 2.5" muffler shop special with a catco cat, pace setter flex joint, no resonator in the b pipe, and a resonater for a muffler. IT sounds like **** and has bottle necks, but it gave me about 3 more miles per gallon and it was less tahn $200 for everyting. Someone gave me a twin loop replica, and I plan on having that welded in place of the "muffler" along with a new catco.

I got my tanabe RM because of the performance reviews it had..
As far as performance goes, it's fucken awesome! Just a tad loud and ugly looking..

I got a GReddy SP (TRUST BL) because it was the quietest exhaust on the market at the time. Right now I have an ITR b-pipe and a GReddy SP axle-back, though, and it's just as quiet.
The tip is going to get cut off, and I'll probably paint it black, tired of being associated with other "import enthusiasts" and their big wings/altezzas/street racing hijinks.
