this is for a 97 ls engine

the price states 90.60, around twice the amount as the older version. What is the difference? Can I substitute the new one with an old one? I went to another site which is acurapartswholesale.org I think and they charge about 55$ for both 94~95 and 97+, I am assuming that they're using the same one.

Honda uses more than 1 manufacturer for parts. Perhaps the 96+ is a more expensive manufacturer. Either way you should be fine with any year. Oil pumps is a different story. Those are not interchangeable.

BTW there is a difference between the GSR and LS waterpump so make sure you buy the correct one.

 

I called len and he said if the waterpump's teeth match then it'll fit.

He checked it for me and told me they are NOT interchangeable
