OT: Frame Shops in Rhode Island/Eastern MA
Hi all. Ran at Watkins Glen last Wed-Fri. Had a great time. although I was way off my pace from the summer of 2000. I think the switch from BFG Gforce R1s to Khumos took a couple of seconds a lap from me. Best times this year were in the 2:25s. (vs 2:23s last year)
Anyway, a friend tweaked the frame in his 1971 240z in the downhill, 100 mph turn 6. Does anyone know a good frame shop in RI/Easter MA, preferrable works on track cars.
Sidebar: there were so many incidents, Watkins Glen shut down our event early on Friday.
Thanks,
Paul

Did a woman driver have an accident there. I heard from one of my supervisors that she wrecked her car over the weekend. I just found out that she raced.
Just curious.
Just curious.
All the incidents I saw were men over driving their cars. The women were definitely underdriving their cars.

I'd check with local race shops.
Most body shops cringe at the thought of straightening out a frame. "It'll never be the same, whaa whaa whaa". Whatever. There's probably some 240 race setups near your area. See if someone with the local SCCA mag has a clue.
