Rear bumper removal
I have a 93 civic hatch and im removing the rear bumper to run at the track, but i have a question. When removing the bumper cover, on the top udnerneath the trunk there is 6 or so screws , i tryed removing those screws but they just werent budging. I tryed looking up underneath the cover to see if there were nuts on the other side of the screws but there didnt appear to be any way of getting to them. Is there nuts on the other side of the screw i have to take off, or is there a way around this to get the cover off? Thanx!
are they actual screws or these little black clips? i'm not familiar with the EG bumper removal, but on my EJ they're clips that you pry the top up w/ a screw driver and then the clips just slide up and out.
Use an impact screwdriver. It's a heavy wheight screwdriver you put on top in the bolt, then hit the back with a hammer. It pushes down and spins at the same time creating enoumous ammounts of torque. That's about the only way I've found to get stuck bumper bolts out. Good luck
