Default DYI kick panels

im dumb so i can't understand the sites that give instructions to make kick panels
ok, i want six inch kicks...
do i just get the brackets for hem....screw it in from the inside of the dor panel, and install the speaker?
the bracket im talking about is a round tube thing that i would buy, it would be leathered and about 4" dep or more i guess, will the speaker perform well with this amount of air space? how do i seal in the air, should i glue it in?

btw:as you can guess i need this to be as least expenive as possible! i want to do everything! please help

qlogic "kick panels" are the worst thing ever, they're not customs fit, not sealed and can onlly fit 5.25" mains i belive. Real kicks are constructed using fiberglass mat and resin, and take about a week to construct properly. search cardomain.com there is some good information to be found there.

open baffle ownz

Anyway, they are not that bad if you use a midbass in the doors. I don't have a problem with 5.25 inch woofers in the kicks either. Many recommend it even for custom kicks since 6.5's want more air to work well.

if u want it to be sealed just seal it in the back with some MDF and if u want it to be constructed of fiberglass, just put fiberglass mat in the inside and there u go. like vteg said, the actual size of the kick panel isnt big enough for a 6.5. so 5 1/4 is actually better for it
