Ok today my speedometer and odometer stop working, and a couple mins after my check engine light comes on...after asking aorund here people said it wasnt that big of a deal and it would only cause your speed/odometerm to be useless, but later today as I was dirivng the check engine light popped back up along with my oil light and battery light and my engine stops, showing all the sighns of a dead engine...when I pop the hood my dipstick is EXTREMELY HOT, anyway, I go to start it back up and it runs fine, WTF? And ive been burning no oil and my engines been running fine? whats goin on?...90 CRX DX

was there enoguh oil in the engine when you pulled the dipstick?

 

oil was and is fine....I dunno if this means anything but the dipstick was HOT AS HELL.

 

what code you getting? look at ur ecu and count the number of flashes from the red LED. your dipstick would be hot its right inbetween the exhaust manifold and goes into the engine. unless ur over heating then you don't have anything to worry about
