NYC: Found a Stolen Integra
If anyone had their Integra ripped off in the NYC area, I located a black 3G Integra 94-97, most likely a GS-R. DOHC VTEC badge was ripped off. Judging by the lift on the front end, the motor was plucked from it as well. Front and rear seats are missing. Had a Mul-T-Lock shifter lock but I guess it didn't help. All 4 wheels were replaced (2 donuts in the back, 2 steelies in the front). If you know who this car belongs to, contact me and I'll let you know where it is. NY plates: CEZ 1867.

This is the NYPD we're talking about. I found another Integra about a month ago. They don't last that long. First day, it's dropped off and has a few parts intact, then people come and vandalize the car, strip more parts and by the third or fourth day, someone will decide they want to torch the whole thing. A week later, if you're lucky, someone sends a tow truck and picks it up. I'm sure an officer walks by this car or drives by in their squad car at least 3 times a day. They know exactly where it is if they intend to do their job.

I can vouch for the NYPD being jackass's when it comes to stolen cars. When my prelude was stolen last year and parked somewhere in NYC a cop wrote a parking ticket on it. I had no idea because the car wasn't in my hands but I got one of those legal letters in the mail saying "did not pay summons, court date is". So the cop wrote a ticket on the car and he didn't even realize it was stolen. The door handle had a gouge in it and the door itself was pulled out a good inch or so along the top slanted part and he didn't even think to himself "maybe this one is stolen, maybe I should run the VIN".

hey, I been interested in buying a type r motor, and i heard from a couple of people, some where in jersey and philly, stolen ones are being sold for 2500.00. I'm will try to ask the two people who told me this, and find the address. Of course they could of been bullshitting, so who nows.
Well, I dunno about you guys but the NYPD was pretty quick in finding my car when it was stolen. I had my old Civic stolen in Queens, called the police and filed a report. They called me the very next day to tell me they found it stripped in Brooklyn. Either way, it doesn't hurt to call the car into the police. That way, if they do respond to it, it'll minimize the damage for the owner.
They were good about tracking me down when the did first find it. They called me at work a few times until they get ahold of me. They even pressed me to get my mother to call them (car is in her name) so she could agree to press charges on the guy caught driving it. Car stolen april 20th, found june 10th. He was driving it around that whole time too because there was an extra 4000 miles on it. I got his full name and address too but he moved to TN after he went to court

He put a different stereo in it, better than the one I had I had. Other than that there was a bunch of air fresheners, a couple pot seeds here and there, and a can of tuna fish under the seat. He also stole my niche wheels (17" shocking shocks) and put on a set of prelude si wheels, which is better than steelies. Almost bone dry on oil, torn axle boot, and a couple burn holes in the seats. Thats the extent of the damage
