I found a decent deal on a set of used ITR seats without the brackets. The shop said that the brackets I need for my EK cost about $300 but the OEM brackets from a JDM Civic type-r will also work.

Any one know if I can find a Civic type-r brackets or just pay up and buy the Recaro brackets?

are you talking about JDM ITR or USDM ITR?

if you are talking about USDM ITR, use your stock civic rails.

if you are talking about JDM ITR, then hit up passwordjdm.com and see if they have CTR recaro rails/sliders.

 

right, if they're usdm, separate your stock rails in half. do the same with the teg seat rails. THEN connect the bottom half of your stock rails to the tops of the integras. you should be good to go.

 

They are the red seats from a JDM Integra, a bit dirty and worn but selling for $500 a set.

I just didn't want to spend too much on just something like seats so I wanted to know the price of everything.

ITR (USDM) seats into an EK is easy, just unbolt the rails from your civic seat, bolt them onto the ITR seats, and the ITR seat goes into your EK no problem. I had them in mine like this. I tried to swap only one side of the rails, but I felt it sat crooked, so I replaced both sides. I recommend doing this for USDM seats. JDM seats, you're going to need aftermarket rails or CTR rails or something. I never tried making USDM rails fit the JDM recaros.

I just called Password and they don't stock seats or rails any more. Options in LA said the Recaro rails will work and they are $170 each. I talked again to the shop selling the seats and got 2 seats/passenger side rails for $600 so I'm just needing the driver side.

You did see my link for hybridautomotive above right? Just making sure as they are cheaper than $300 and are height adjustable rails, perhaps one of the most annoying things about recaros in EK's.

At $300 a pair it's out of my price range. I'm just trying to sell these seats as a complete set so I'll just buy the oem part instead.

ok so do i unbolt just the bottom half of my ek brackets then bolt them on to my itr front seats.or do i us the whole ek brackets?> thanx
