You know it is depending on if you want to spend money on the name and performance or get a no name and still get the same performance. Either way check out the classified here or got to ebay. they usually have name and no name items for real good prices. just make sure you research the no name products so you don't get ripped off on an item that is supposed to be just as good and turns out to be crap. good luck gloria

B16. It'll probably be all or most of that 1500 but it's worth it. You can't really get much out of that motor without a turbo

port and polish your head's that will give you a nice jump in power. I have a 97 stang with 02 head's and p&p power goes from 195 rwh to 275 rwh and 300tq

You will probably not get jump in power like that on your honda motor if you have head work done. Mostly because honda heads tend to flow better than a mustang heads. If you want to go with something for 1500 then I'd go with a B16. With $1500 you will be able to buy the long block and maybe the ECU or Tranny. If you can wait a little longer then I'd deffinately go with the B18C. Not necessarily the Type-R, but if you come across some extra cash then go for it.

Your n/a d16 will not give you big gains with out spending a lot more money and the use of a turbo..... Good Luck!

besides the B18C/B18C-R suggestions..
whichever you go with the 1 of the best bang for yer buck mods is a lightened flywheel, either an aftermarket unit or a stock unit shaved down to about 12-13lbs.
Snappy throttle response brings any stock engine alive.

There's no way you're finding a B18C for 1500, grab yourself a B16 and throw some goodies on it.
