I got my alarm installed by acura back in march and now im having problems disengaging it whenever im ready to get into it. I always have to point the remote at the "brain" over the windshield just to get it to disengage???? It wont engage from about 8 feet away or even less than a foot what can it be??

 

Try the battery in the remote.

Or just get a better alarm. The factory alarm does little more than offer peace of mind.
