Seriously... i'd never buy a 2001 Civic, even if it was an Si. The 95-2000's are the best appearance-wise, but the 2001 Civic's look like Grandma cars. I wonder if Honda had a huge drop in sales this year. Anyone agree?

 

Hell YEAH!!! The new Civics are so damn ugly and so are the Acura RSX. Both of them looks really weird and ugly *** hell!! I really hope I will get used to them.

 

I mostly hate the new coupes...the taillights look just like a Ford Focus! I even mistook a focus on the freeway for a civic before (and that doesn't happen often!). I'm getting a lil used to the sedans tho. I saw a pic of a nicely modded civic sedan that was dropped, had wheels, and supposedly a prototype HKS turbo kit on it. It looked pretty nice...sedate, but nice. And the RSX...well, I'll probably eventually get used to it and really like. Right now, it's not too bad. I didn't like the 4-eyed tegs when they came out in 94, nor the weird looking lude in 97, but I got used to those and now I love both those cars. Oh well...we'll see in time.

thats how i felt when the 96 civic came out..i grew to love it..i hope mugen has some big plans for it..just the the rsx..im starting to like it more and more..

 

heehee, i go thru the same thing everytime honda changes its looks...i used to hate the 96-00's....but now im totally head over heels in love with them *sigh* no doubt the 2k1's r gonna grow on me!

 

I think that the reason the new civics are so ugly is that they now look a lot like the Passats and Audis. They shortened the front end to give the car more interior room. I feel sorry for any machanic that tries to work on those cars, there is no room under the hood. I will say that I did see one that did look pretty good the coupe with a spoiler and wheels. But I have seen better

 

Why is it so ugly?

Because they listen to Civic customers, and did exactly what we want.

We say need more headroom. Honda made it taller.
We say need more power. Honda made it more powerful.
We say need more leg room. Honda use struts up front.
We say need a bigger trunk. Honda made the butt bigger.
We say the silver trim looks cool. Honda add it.
We say the car rides too stiff. Honda use taller tires.
We say the muffler hangs out too much. Honda tucked in the muffler.
We say keep the price low. Honda use cheaper plastics, and took some stuff out.

They did what we ask.....

Note: I know I'm being a wise guy, but you get my point.

 

Its really sad because the 01 civic is ugly and it's a piece of shiznit.

 

Honda didn't listen to us, they listened to the asian countries.
