The R currently has 73,000mi on her, is burning a good bit of oil, and will most likely be wanting a rebuild within the next year or so. If possible I will have it resleeved to accept 84-84.5mm pistons. I am currently running Skunk II stage one cams and so far they have been reliable (20,000mi) and fairly maintence free. If possible I would like to run them with my 2.0liter setup. Since MPH is making 200whp on stage ones with 11.4 comp and stock displacement (no hondata either) I don't see why with the extra displacement and a little bump in compression (I would most likely go with something in the 12:1 area) that numbers in the 210+whp couldn't be supported with stage ones. With this setup I could have a fairly trouble free, yet plenty powerful setup with good midrange power. Any input?
there shouldnt be a problem at all getting 210whp once you rebuild. However if you wanna get more power, swap the stage 1's for some stage2's or JUN3s. (as im sure you already know). I know many people with over 30k miles with JUN3s and run them w/ no problem what so ever.
jonny bravo is getting 210+whp with stock jdm itr bottom end, 2 layer head gasket, sms header, hondata, mild head work and other stardard chit
i would say 220 is attainable if you have a good builder do the block
toss the jdm 4-1 and get a mans header (smsp of course)
