He's asking how to clean it, not how to hide wires like it's some sort of show car.

Looks like you need a good steam cleaning for that mess.

Cover the distributer and spray it with a pressure washer. You can go to Pep Boys or somehting and get the stuff you spray on and then later hose off.

Mine was pretty bad, I didn't have access to a pressure washer or anything like that, so I covered the distrib and fuse box, and just sprayed it down with engine brite (GUNK), let it sit, scrubbed a little and sprayed it down with a regular hose, worked great. Afterward, sprayed a little Formula 2000 on the hoses and plastics

well if i were you id new a new valve cover seal, find a thread around honda-tech about painting the valve cover, do as the rest say about sprayin on the gunk remover like that thread and spray on the tire foam, then go and take off valve cover and strip it down and repaint, that alone will make it look alot better, also with the new seal should keep oil from gettin back on top of engine like it is

how would someoen go about covering up the distrobuter and the fuse box. what should someone use to cover it. does it matter that anything else in the bay gets wet from direct water???

funny this topic came up, a friend of mine taped off his distributor and such a week or two ago, and hosed the whole bay down, says the car hasn't been the same since, and that there is no pic up at all.....any one have any clue what it could be??
