Default Question about 92-95

I'm about to get a hatchback, and I was wondering how the Si differed from the cx/vx/dx? Besides the power options...someone told me it had a 1.5 sohc vtec but I haven't really confirmed it. If I were to get a hatchback I was wondering if maybe I should start looking at the si since, if what I said about the vtec motor is true, then would be already wired for vtec and my swap would go more smoothly.

Thanks ht.

The 92-95 si hatch has 4-wheel disc brakes, a 1.6 SOHC Vtec, sunroof, power mirrors and a "sportier" tuned suspension. I believe that the non-si had only front disc and rear drum and a softer suspension. Oh Yeah, I think the Si had different gear ratios (ie. different transmission).
Get the si. It's been a great car to me.

The Si has 1.6L SOHC VTEC motor. Its a bit heavier than the rest of the models. I beleive in 94 and 95 it came with power steering. It has the 4 wheel disc brakes, tach, better interior color (woot black ) The Si just came with better options than the rest.

basically the si is pulling around 127 horses with the 1.6 sohc vtec, and around 103 torque. and the 93 model also came with power steering.
