There was a Mustang that got sideways in turn 8 after the "hurry-downs" and rolled. Track crew was attending that vehicle, almost got in on its wheels. Suddenly another Mustang lost control in braking zone of turn 8 and came within 3ft of the crane, hit 2 track crew guys and ended up backwards on the pile of tires. Officals red flagged the race after that. He was going way to fast for a caution. Supposidly, the 2 guys he hit were ok after they were checked by medical crew. I was watching it happen and was in disbelief. I dont go to road races often, but I wonder if other people have seen something like this happen, also.

 

Never seen it in person, but I've seen workers injured and killed on TV.

 

That sounds like bad news.

Did you see the SSC race? A co-worker of mine was racing in it, wondering how he did? Tom Long is his name, blue Civic Si.
