I was wondering if you needed to install additional brackets with the hardtop or is it just the hardtop that drops in. I have a 2001.

some 2001's need an additional kit, mine didnt.

not sure what you mean bu additional brackets. on mine, i had to swap the striker plates in the car (two mounts for hooks, upper front windshield, easy). hardware was included with hardtop.

Are you still able to use your softtop if you get caught in the rain or something? Also, how does the hard top mount at the rear? Anyone notice any issues with leaking?

 

I have have a hardtop and there are no leaks.
