Default need urgent help! ek swap questions!

i need help. a friend of mine rolled up here to nebraska from texas. somehow he blew his motor in his 2000 civic ex in the process. he went and bought a '96 ls motor already. he then calls me up and says... hey, i need your help, i need this done in about 2 days! i'm like what? anyway, i've helped my bro do a handful of eg -> eg swaps. around 5 or so. I know the run around for that, but we've never touched OBDII diagnostics. what is different about doing this swap than a 5th gen to 5th gen? wiring? axels? etc...

its really easy, its all plug and play, you may have 2 or 3 extra connectors because the ex is a vtec. and unlike a eg, your gonna have to pull the harness all the way out, like ecu plugs and all. they dont seperate at the fire wall like in the eg. but its mainly plus to plug...

pretty easy

Get these from the 99-00 SI.
#7, 6, and the piece that says E14-1
Plus your ECU won't plug up with the harness because 99-up has different electrical than 96-98. You're going to need an adapter to jump the missing plug or run OBD1.
