Default Celebrating the new arrival (tow rig)

Well, it happened, I bit the bullet and got a new tow rig capable of towing anything I could EVER imagine towing. The Expedition was a little taxed on long hauls so it was replaced with this.... *Big Bastard*

Equipped with this....

Big Bastard will be used to tow *Little Bastard*

Nash - who got the thumbs up from a fellow commuter this morning on the way to work

Thanks for the pics John!

Hey there:
Congrat's on that monster. Is the truck a daily driver too?
It will serve you very well. Wish I knew how to upload my setup, but that is another story.

Nice truck. There was one of those (a dually though) in front of me at a light yesterday. Had very obviously been extensively modified. It was REALLY loud and sounded like it make a whole mess of power. My favorite thing was the license plate frame that said "Gas passes through your ***, not my truck"

It really is nice. Quiet too, for a diesel. Needs bigger tires though .

Rambler, was your Expedition a 4.6 or 5.4?

Nice Dodge! Enough torque to rotate the earth!!

Nice, you are giving me new diesel envy. As for rubber though, I think it needs some 24's, as if you haven't already spent some money.

Whoaa!!

All you need now is a 42 foot enclosed trailer to put your 12 foot car in...

Seriously - nice rig!

All that for just a little Civic? My Jeep is looking pretty wimpy! Of course I do have a vehicle with over 400lb/ft of torque, it just wouldn't make a good tow vehicle...

Time for Banks Power upgrades.

My Gramps has a dually that has a bunch of upgrades and when boost starts to really build it pulls pretty good for such a heavyweight.

Nice rig. The really cool thing about diesels is they run forever.

Check these guys out for power improvements. eg injectors are a really good way to go. http://www.dieseldynamics.com/

Nice truck you got. Good choice too. Look at how much beefier the cummins rod (dodge) is compared to the powerstroke (ford)

Auto or manual? Reason?

I've been looking at the single rear 3500s......

Auto

Two reasons really....

1. Seattle area traffic, I cannot imagine using a clutch in a truck in the cluter F#@$ we call a commute.

2. Makes for a smoother tow.

Hey Nash,
We'll have to drag race 'em after I get mine. I just got back from the Ford dealer, but they didn't have what I'm looking for.

Very good choice!! My neighbor's got a chipped Cummins Ram and boy do those chips make a difference!! The trick to making power out of those is in the ECU and the exhaust! Damn, you're one lucky bastard to own those two bastards!!
