D15 into a 90 SI
alright, im going to try and be as specific as possible. i'm buying a 90 crx SI with a transmission and axles and i just purchased a d15b7 to put in it. the motor is obd1, so will i need to get an obd1 civic dx wiring harness or will any non vtec obd1 harness work? and also, will any non-vtec ecu run the motor?
DX and Si engine harnesses are different. The firewall plug pinouts are different.
Use the engine harness that was made for your car and convert it for the swap engine as necessary.

whats different from obd1 to obd0 i know theres a knock sensor, an o2 sensor and something else... but the motor is from a 95 dx and im just wondering which ecus and wiring harnesses would work?
obd1? obd0? I don't know jack crap about what either of those mean, just so you know that. I'm running a D15B7 in my 89 DX. It was in there when I bought it, but I know whats going on with it.
I'm using the 89 CRX Si ECU (hatch Si will work too)
88-91 Si distributor
I think you'll be better off with the 95 harness, just because it goes with that engine, and all of the sensors will match up (i don't know if the Si harness uses the same sensors).
If you had any specific questions about something that I can point out, hit me up. But I don't know about the obd1 and 0's. So if someone could explain that to me also... I think the 1's are with the MPFI, and the 0's are for the first fuel injected models. But I may be wrong. It just seems to fit like that.
