Aus dc2r.. engine mods. am i missing any vital ingredients?
Hi there, im a newbie. so.... hello
ive got a stock as typ r dc2r..
im getting some toda spec a cams/toda cam gears
just wondering if there is a chance of the engine blowing up without any other mods..
most ppl say i don't need uprated valve springs, most ppl say don't need new gasket or upgraded timing belt. Whats the concensus? has anyone done this where u guys are?
Eventually ill get the extractors afterwards, otherwise in terms of the exhasut its good enough as is...
oh and mebbe a Unichip piggyback..
cheers

True, A's are mild enough to run w/ out upgrading the rest of the valvetrain.

would a thinner head gasket be worth the labour to pull the damn head off?
I can get a mugen head gasket for a good price. But the cost of labour might be ridiculous for a small gain ....
thoughts?
