DIY mesh grille
Spent a few hours yesterday putting in some DIY mesh inserts, total cost: $5. Bought some gutter protectors at home depot, did some dremeling, cut the mesh to fit and secured it to the inside of the bumper.
You can see that the insert on the left is hiding my DIY ram-air tube.
Comments and opinions?

Grats for working on a project that looks clean. Granted its not my style..but it dosent look bad by any means. Just make sure you limit it to those small holes

Notice that I did say I had a cool air duct behind the grille.
So you're saying that I should have left it as either:
a) a big aluminum tube in my front grille under the plate, or
b) a big aluminum tube in a cutout on one side of the bumper, with the other side still intact
Sorry, I'll take "rice" over ghetto-looking (as opposed to ghetto-rigged
) any day.
