Default Tire Sizes on 93 LX (18x7.5)

I have Tenzo 18x7.5 rims with 225/45 - 18, on the rear. Will the 250/40 - 18" work on the rear on a 94 Accord with out any rubbing with a 1.75" drop? If so which one should I replace it with? Should I run a 225/40 series or should I go with a lower profile like a 215/40? Please respond soon time is of the essence.

Why replace the tires/rims in the first place? I can't see how the 250/40/18 would fit your car nicely, especially dropped. Stick with the 225/45/18, or perhaps 225/40/18.

BTW 215/40 is not a lower profile compared to 225/40, it's just a little narrower, if you want thinner tires, then you gotta go for something less than 40, e.g. 215/35/18.

Hope this helps.
