I knew I should not of vacuumed out my car before summit point!!
This was my 1st time at summit and all I wanted to do was take it slow and learn the corse. On the 1st session on the 2nd day I started to pick up the pace, and I went too fast into turn 3, spun out, and got just a little bit of gravel inside the car.

Just thought I would share that with you. No damge to the car, thank God! ....it was slick as hell out there on sunday morning.

Hey I done it too; no biggie its a learning experience. When I spun I was pissed at first but then I learned that its apart of racing and its fun because you learn what you did wrong and move on with no major damage.......hopefully.

Good to hear you escaped any potential damage. It sure was a bit tricky out there on Sunday morning... I had some problems keeping the rear end in line going into T2 with those wet spots... I don't like experiencing that on / off traction at all.

I will take a little gravel any day then replacing body parts on the car or worse, the car it self. Good to see that no one was harmed. Glad to see that every one had a good time.

I thought about that last night, simply amazed me. Especially with some slick spots (mud, oil, water).

Well, there were a few scuba attempts by several cars... after all, I always thought thouse Diasios looked like submersibles anyways...
Haha. I got a good view of your loop. I was driving Phillip's black hatch, and came roaring by on the outside.
If you go a little hot in 3, just stay in it, and drop 2 in the gravel on the outside, but stay pointed straight, and floored.

I'm assuming that gravel is pretty well packed?

Don't forget to grow wings as well - that pothole where you re-enter the track will send you flying. But, like Warren said, at least you'll make it through unscathed (relatively).

Hmm. There isn't a big pothole on track out. Not big, imo. Are you talkin about the huge pothole at turn-in? There's no way in hell I'd put a tire in there. That's a crasher there. They should fill that in.

I got to ride in Phil's car last session, that sucker is fast. What's his HT name by the way?
Edit: Though not quite as fast as a certain R passing us in T6-T7...

Ya know, I'm not even sure what Phil's HT name is. His car will be much faster with some Hondata tuning and consistent tires. It was very nervous when I drove it. Reminded me of my car last year, when I had old Hoosiers.
Oh yeah, Phil, if you're reading this, does your car have an LSD? It pulls pretty heavily to one side under acceleration. Pretty twitchy down the straights too. Check alignment.

Into the tire wall if you're not straight and still sliding

Not that I know ANYTHING about tuning, but I would have to agree about the Hondata. I think the problem was that he ran out of money, am I right Phil, if you're out there? He said the brakes were overkill as well, and weren't consistent at all, though I can't imagine that would affect acceleration performance in a straight line.

thanks for not hitting me
Any chance you had in car video for that?
Also that gavle stuff is NOT solid at all, it was flying all over when I hit it. It even ended up all over the top of the car. I think that water in turn 2 was the root of the spin, I got the tires really wet going too wide coming out of turn 2, and I think they were still wet for turn 3.

I actually liked his brakes, but they did require finesse. Not unlike my setup, due to my pad selection. Panic situations require a calm right foot.
The part throttle surging was absolutely slaying me in his car. If it was my car, I'd fix the tuning and the tires, and go from there.

now you tell me
I found turn 3 to be much EZer if you do a little trail braking because the track sort of turns left slightly before you really need to start the hard left turn. I would continue my braking into this slight left bend get slowed down, then let off the brakes turn in hard, excel, and unwind the wheel all the way though the turn. Is this what you guys do? That turn really scares me after that spin.

Turn 3 is wicked fast. Entry speed is very high. Damned near as fast as T10. There's lots of good camber there early on, before the apex, so get your turning done there, and take a straighter shot up the hill.
