Stock B16 CRX @ the track
Yesterday I went to LACR for the "100.1 Import Nationals" or something like that.
Made a couple passes. 15.03 consistent. Then one run, 60' was better than usual.
60' 2.222
330' 6.212
660' 9.585
mph 72.864
1000' 12.435
E.T. 14.977
MPH 90.366
Not bad for stock B16 with just CAI, stock manifold on some shitty tires

Oh, and if you didnt know the correction factor for LACR is about .7 of a second, and that doesnt factor the shitty track conditions. So with a bit more traction and a header I think she has a 13 in her

My CEL is on and the ECU is throwing codes 7 and 10, TPS and the other is PCV I think. </TD></TR></TABLE>
What elevation is the track at? I don't think the correction is that much. What year is the CRX and what model? A bad TPS will definately cause problems.

My car is an '89 DX. Elevation is 2700'. The car SEEMS* to run fine, its the fastest stock B16 I've ever seen out here, hell, I run over half a second faster then my friends B16 CRX and he has ITR cams, intake mani, and TB.
My friend Mike (jdmDXrex) with the exact same setup as you (except for an ACT clutch, 2.5" exhaust, and MT 20x6x14 slicks) used to run consistent 13.60's with a best of 13.62@101... That's full interior weighing in at 2045lbs with him in it... STOCK intake, STOCK header, STOCK PR3 ECU, STOCK cams, IN manifold, etc... I'd say you can get it down a lot more... I just got done rebuilding his block with 13.5:1 86mm JE slugs, Crower rods, Portflow head, etc... Once we get his new tranny should be good for mid 11's, we'll see tho... Good Luck, Peace

How did you weigh your car???, this was on an NHRA scale at an NHRA event also weighing all the pro cars, I highly doubt that it was off... Do you have a full system, cage, etc.?? Or atleast something to bump you up... An EH3 or EJ chassis with a B series motor should come out to ~2500lbs. with ~150lbs driver... I dunno, my friend Mike weighs 130lbs... Latez
No doubt when I get to a better track I will be deep in the 14's as is, with some slicks and a header I should be able to click off a 13, but my transmission is the Y1, longer gears =/ Oh well. Better turbo ratios
Nice times. My best on street tires at LACR has been 14.7. This is a B18C1 eg hatch, bolt ons.
Don't worry about people who tell you ur car should be faster. They just don't know about Palmdale and how crappy it is.
Anyways, taken from the lacr website...ur sea level corrected time would be:
14.977 * .97 = 14.527
Your MPH would be 90.366 * 1.03 = 93.076

My b16b crx fully gutted is 1780 with lexan, no cage, no suports at all. So my car weighs in at 1990 with me in it. So that leaves only 60 pounds that I gutted out of my 89 standard? WOW I thought switching over to aztec rear aluminum suspention would have saved more weight than that.
Oh well, guess I have to find more crap to pull out of my car. Maybe drill out all of my bolts in the entire car will get it down to 1768 at least. LOL

14.5 corrected... I wonder if they take the HORRIBLE track conditions into consideration? I think I will do a little better once I get to Pomona, 14.4 would be nice as it sits, after the header and some better tires (slicks) I'm pretty sure I will be able to get a 13.8 or better, thats my goal on my stock motor, then its time for headwork, cams, pistons, and some juice

My best time at Palmdale is a 14.0, with cams, cam gears, intake manifold, header...you know all the basics. Are you running on street tires, cheater slicks, or slicks? Might help improve your time. My best 60 ft has been a 1.9. Of course it was at the end of the day and a little cooler, back in Feb or March.

Yea... That would be about right then... We also have gutted and lexaned doors but he wasn't rolling them at the time... Mike's car is a DX and he weighs ~130lbs, so 2045 - ~130 = 1915lbs... No spare tire, etc. of course... We're gonna reweigh it again just as soon as I get everything finished to see what it comes in at... Latez
