i have a 94' gsr and just got some headers and i want to replace the gasket so i went to my acura dealer and he first told me it was $89.00 for the header gasket (yeah right) so i look at his screen and it was the head gasket so i tried to tell him he finally got it and then found the header gasket and said it was $20 now isn't that a little high i was thinking it should cost $8 maybe $12 but twenty nope, so i didnt buy it. so how much did you guys pay for a replacment header gasket?

 

I paid $25 at the Acura dealer that's how much they run but you can get it at a auto shop for a little less like $16 or 1$7 for the cheep ones that will blow. You can also get a gaskit from MR gaskit website for $99 that will neaver blow thats for dragracing thow. Get the dealers gaskit it's the best way to go.

I bought a copper "MR.GASKET" header gasket for $19 from summit racing

 

Did the same as Halo..... broke a stud and still no leakage.

Get a 2000 GSR gasket it made of metal not paper.

 

Its not called a header gasket, its a exhaust manifold gasket.

A&H Motorsports got me a OEM one for $16 I think.

 

I'm curious here I used my stock exhaust manifold gasket on my 01 GSR it was still brand new and all. I put in my DC Sport header like about 2 months or so will that still do me good or i need to replace them whatsoever?? I have not seen any leakage yet so will the factory gasket still keep me safe?? Thanks for the help.
