Fuel gauge
My fuel gauge on my n93 Accord started to act up the other day. The needle would jump from where it was to full. and ever since it's been at full and going down real slowly but then today it goes down to almost 1/4 tank (where I think it really is). Anyone know ehat it could be or how I can fix this.
I had acouple of questions. The fuel metering is aka fuel sending unit right? If it is bad its on the fuel pump right so I would have to replace it as one whole unit right?
The sending unit is under the access panel on the tank that you can see if you lift up the trunk liner. You have to remove the panel and under it is another panel that has the sending unit attatched to it.
It's basically an arm that moves in relation to fuel level, as it moves the resistance changes and that signal goes to the gauge. The arm is probably sticking or is broken somewhere.
