ok, ive been on ht for about 6-8 months, but never bothered to register, but now i need some help. im getting a prelude very soon. and they are very rare around here, and chances are its not going to be an h22. so i went to hmotorsonline and im going to buy an engine from them. but i need a list of things that i need to get the h22 running. the only things that comes with the motor are:

- Motor
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Injectors
- Fuel Rail
- Throttle body
- Alternator
- Distributor

what else do i need, and if i can take it off the h23 please state so.

-ECU
-Axles
-Tranny

 

ECU. possibly a new wiring harness, some h23 harnesses come pre wired for vtec. im not sure if yours is one of them.

you can use the axles and tranny from your h23.

 

You dont need differant axles for this swap.

 

what if it's an automatic? aren't the axles the different?

 

Could be. But who in their right mind would get a H22 auto swap?

ok, bad news (maybe) i got a 1994 prelude s model today, ya its a f22 sohc but i still got a prelude. but anyways, is there anywhere i can order anything that i would ever need, all in one place? i dont guess that the f22 and h22 parts are interchangeable, so some info would be greatly appreciated

 

i think the only thing that is interchangable are the engine mounts.
i just did f22 to h22. and i had to change EVERYTHING.
