i think its more like 7800 rpm. when i drive my friends H22a civic with a jdm itr cluster it redlines right before the indicated 8000rpm.

yeah, it's about 7800rpm. Usually I never take it that high. I usually hit 7500rpm then shift. I've seen other USDM 4th genners hit close to 8k though on a stock ECU.

just because the tack might say 8k, doesn't mean it's necessarily 8k

Stock tachs are usually a few hundred rpms off, especially in the higher rpm range. When your tach reads 8k, the motor is actually only at 7.5k or 7.6k.

Is the fuel cut off with a stock p13 at 7400 or 7600?

I believe the fuel cut off is 7600, which will show right at 8000 on the tach. If you are racing the 1/4, you'll want to shift right at this point.

5th gen H22A hits a tad past 8000 w/the needle but about 7800 on the VAFC.

OK but you guys arent reading what he asked. He asked what the redline is. The redline on a H22A is an indicated 7400rpm. Rev limiter and fuel cutoff are different.

Ok so for a jdm h22a...

Redline: 7400
Fuel cut off: 7600

That's what I thought. Wow my jdm eg sir cluster is actually acurate. It reads right at 7600 when the fuel cuts out on my jdm p13. Crazy.

That's Correct, and stock tachs SUCK! I don't understand why anybody keeps them.

Fuel cut off is *FOR SURE* at 7600 RPM (for you guys that say 'rpms'...take note, it's always only rpm)

'Redline' is at 7400, measured from a GOOD tach. If you have a factory tach, true 7400 rpm might show up as 8,000 rpm.

Anybody reading this, PLEASE do not be misled... Redline is 7,400 rpm, fuel cut off is 7,600 rpm....even though they'll show higher on a crappy tachometer.

Just had to try it... I recalled tach log on my VAFC and showed that I hit the rev limiter at 7630 RPM. Stock ECU on 5th Gen USDM H22A. Dude, my stock tach is so optimistic. Does that mean when I'm going 65mph, I'm actually going like 60? j/k.
